Dying. Jiwon was dying.
“I’m bored.”
Jiwon internally slapped herself. Who in the world would die due to boredom? But really, she’s really super, super bored. She was lying on the floor of her living room, staring at the ceiling. She raised the volume of her iPod’s speakers to its limit—not wanting to hear anything from the outside—as she sang along; trying to lessen her boredom, but unfortunately it didn’t.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!” she screamed in frustration. She took her cell phone from the couch and flipped it open.
“YA! I DON’T CARE WHERE YOU ARE AND HOW BUSY YOU ARE RIGHT NOW. COME HERE AND ENTERTAIN ME. I’M SO BORED!” she typed and sent it to her boyfriend—Hyunjin.
30 seconds later…
“Ji~”
“Ya! Where are you? What’s taking you so long?” Jiwon nagged. Before Hyunjin could even say anything. “Just bring your work here or something. I’m just really bored!”
“But Jiwon~”
“Fine! I’ll just go to Jeju and~”
“No!” Hyunjin half screamed, “I’ll be there. Just, don’t go to Jeju.” Hyunjin shivered at the thought of Jiwon going to Jeju alone and doing who knows what, just to lessen her boredom.
“Ah! I love you!” Jiwon said in relief and Hyunjin just chuckled as they hang up their phones.
Hyunjin stared at the pile of papers in his desk, his laptop idle a few minutes as he was talking to Jiwon. He sighed.
“Eoddeohke?” he said to himself worriedly. “If I don’t go there, she would really go to Jeju and probably wouldn’t be talking to me after. If I do, I won’t be able to finish my 3000 words reaction paper which is due tomorrow!”
He sighed loudly as he began putting the papers and his laptop on his bag then left…
BUZZ! BUZZ!
Before Hyunjin could even realize that the door was open, Jiwon was already hugging him.
“You don’t really want me to go to Jeju, don’t you?” she teased which made Hyunjin smile.
“Not without me” he replied as Jiwon let go of him.
Hyunjin was sitting on the floor, typing in his laptop as Jiwon watched him—admiring.
He’s so cute when he’s typing and being serious like that. She thought then giggled.
“What’s so funny?” he asked, eyes and hands not leaving his work.
Jiwon kneeled as he hugged him from behind, her chin on his shoulder, “Nothing. So, what’s that?”
Hyunjin smiled and kissed her in the cheek then continued his work, “Reaction paper on Global Warming.”
“Oh~ How many words?”
“3000…”
“How far have you gotten?”
Hyunjin smiled sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck, “Ah…1253”
“Oh~” Jiwon shifted her head as she loosen her hug so that Hyunjin won’t be bothered that much.
“Ya~”
“Hmmm?”
“Please hug me tighter. It helps me concentrate.”
Jiwon did so and got lost in her thoughts…
“Hyunjin~” Jiwon said sweetly
“Hmmm?” Hyunjin hummed
“Let’s go out…”
“Huh?! B-but… I’ve got… I…” he wasn’t able to continue as Jiwon stood up and pulled him. “Jiwon~”
“Oh c’mon… I’m bored! I’ll help you finish that later, don’t worry. You can sleep here if you want to…”
With that, Hyunjin’s face brighten up the he frowned, “What about my cloth~”
“We’ll drop by your apartment later, okay?” Jiwon cut him off then he grinned, eyes showing something that made Jiwon narrowed hers, “I said sleep, okay?” she said dangerously.
Hyunjin frowned again, “Okay…”
“Good! Let’s go…”
While they were walking—and eating ice cream—around the park, Jiwon kept excusing herself and talks to random people out of Hyunjin’s reach to eavesdrop. This made him really curious. After Jiwon talked to the ninth (Hyunjin was counting) person they came across, he confronted her; his curiosity getting the better of him.
“Uh, baby?”
“Yes?!” Jiwon answered; sipping her smoothie (the weather’s really hot)
“What are you doing?”
“Sipping…”
“No… I mean~” he wasn’t able to continue as Jiwon said, “Wait, honey” and went to talk to someone for the tenth time. When she got back, “So, you were saying?”
“That…” Hyunjin said, flat.
“What do you mean that?”
“That… Talking to random people. I’m really curious.”
Jiwon smiled. ”Secret…”
Jiwon laughed, “Be patient. You’ll know later.” She said as she went to talk to someone…again.
Hyunjin just sighed, then smiled as he noticed how cute his girlfriend was with all her ‘interrogating.’
Ctrl+P. . .
Hyunjin sighed. “Thank You” he breathed then hugged Jiwon tightly.
“Ha! No. Thank you… if you didn’t come, I would’ve probably died of boredom.” Jiwon said.
He chuckled as he loosens his hug to kiss his girlfriend’s forehead.
“thank you also for letting me use your printer” he said shyly, hiding his face in Jiwon’s hair.
Jiwon laughed, “No, its okay. That’s nothing. Silly~” They stayed like that for a few minutes until Hyunjin remembered something and let go of Jiwon so he could look at her.
“So…What was that about?” he asked.
She stared at him curiously. “What that?”
“Your secret at the park!?”
“Oh, that… Hmmm… You really don’t have any idea?”
Hyunjin shook his head.
“Well, that, my dear Hyunjin, is about your reaction paper. Didn’t you notice what I suggested for you paper? Mostly came from them. I can only count what I said there.”
“I love you!”
“Oh I knowp~” Jiwon wasn’t able to finish as she felt Hyunjin’s soft lips touched hers. “Y-ya…” she managed to say. She felt embarrassed as she knew that her lips were dry. Due to the global warming. She thought.
“Why?” Hyunjin asked and kissed her lips lightly, “Dry lips?” he teased.
Jiwon hit him in the arm softly as she backed away, but failed as Hyunjin cupped her cheeks then whispered in her ear. “Let me moisturize it for you…”
Before Jiwon could even protest, Hyunjin was kissing her again—softly. She hesitated, but eventually responded.
“So, let’s sleep? We still have school tomorrow” Hyunjin said
Jiwon nodded, “Sure.”
Hyunjin stood up and helped Jiwon stand up, “So, let’s go?”
“Go where?” Jiwon asked innocently.
“To your room. Where else?”
She laughed, “Who said you’ll be sleeping in my room?”
“What?”
“You’ll be sleeping here on the couch.”
“Jiwon~”
“Good night honey!”
Hyunjin lied on the couch as Jiwon closed the door of her room. He shook his head and smiled, “Global warming”. He whispered then fell asleep.
